Advance Composite Co., Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of metal matrix composites leveraging its proprietary "melt forging method," has announced the completion of a Series B funding round with Toa Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. as the underwriter. The company plans to use the new capital to further accelerate the societal implementation and domestic and international business expansion of its advanced materials.
Founded in 2015 and based in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Advance Composite is a startup that utilizes its unique melt forging technology to combine metals like aluminum with ceramics or graphite. This creates products that achieve characteristics difficult to attain with single materials alone, such as high thermal conductivity, lightweight properties, and high rigidity. These materials are utilized in fields where thermal management is critical, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment, data centers, and power semiconductors.
Through this investment, Advance Composite will combine its material design and manufacturing technologies with Toa Electric Industrial's extensive knowledge and network in the electronic, electrical, and industrial materials sectors. This partnership aims to pioneer new applications, strengthen customer proposals, and drive global business expansion. Moving forward, the company will continue to deepen its collaboration with research institutions and business enterprises across various industrial sectors, working toward its corporate vision of "supporting the Earth's future through materials."
