Farmnote Inc. has completed a third-party allotment of shares, with the Impact Capital No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership and the Social X Impact Investment Limited Partnership participating as underwriters. Impact Capital served as the lead investor in this round, and the amount raised has not been disclosed.
Founded in 2013 under the vision of "Building the brain of global agriculture," Farmnote provides IoT and AI platforms for the dairy and livestock industries. In addition to managing approximately 10% of Japan's cattle population through its herd management system, "Farmnote Cloud," the company offers real-time detection via wearable devices like "Farmnote Color" and genomic testing services. Furthermore, through its subsidiaries, Farmnote operates its own farms and manages contracted operations for others, establishing a management support framework that merges data with frontline expertise.
Proceeds from the funding will be used to develop AI agents that support farm operations and management, as well as to expand the Farmnote Group's own farm operations and contract management business. By combining data and AI with on-the-ground operations, the company aims to build a "management support infrastructure" that enhances the reproducibility of high-productivity, high-profitability dairy management. Moving forward, Farmnote plans to collaborate with impact investors to address structural challenges in the dairy industry, such as labor shortages and financial distress.
