Overview of Financing

Terra Charge, the operator of the "Terra Charge" EV charging service, has successfully raised 10 billion yen in financing through debt facilities provided by Mizuho Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Resona Bank, and Minato Bank. This latest funding round brings the company's total cumulative capital raised to 36.14 billion yen.

Terra Charge's Business Background

Since entering the EV charging infrastructure market in April 2022, Terra Charge has operated under the mission of "bringing energy to all people and EVs." The company offers an end-to-end service model, managing everything from the installation and operation of chargers tailored to the diverse needs of residential complexes, commercial facilities, and lodging properties, to providing seamless user payment solutions. As of February 26, 2026, the company has surpassed 35,000 cumulative charging ports installed, cementing its position as a market leader in Japan.

Purpose of Funding and Future Outlook

The newly acquired capital will be directed toward accelerating the nationwide rollout of EV charging infrastructure, advancing technical development for its services and systems, and strengthening the company's organizational structure through strategic hiring. While the Japanese government has set a national target of 300,000 charging ports by 2030, Terra Charge aims to contribute 105,000 of those units. The company is committed to building a frictionless charging environment where users can power their vehicles without concern for location. With this infusion of capital, Terra Charge intends to further accelerate its infrastructure development and strengthen its position as a leading Japanese charging service provider, both domestically and internationally.
